12G UHD-SDI dual output cable driver with built-in reclocker 'LMH1228'
The LMH1228 device is a low-power 12G UHD-SDI dual-output cable driver with an integrated reclocker. It supports SMPTE video up to 11.88Gbps and is compatible with UHD video for 4K/8K applications. The extensive clock and data recovery (CDR) circuitry allows the on-chip reclocker to automatically detect and lock onto all SMPTE video rates up to 11.88Gbps. There is an additional reclocked 100Ω driver output on the host side for monitoring and signal distribution. Furthermore, the reclocker attenuates high-frequency jitter and fully reconstructs the data using a clean, low-jitter clock. Additionally, a loop filter is incorporated, eliminating the need for an input reference clock. The LMH1228 features an internal eye opening monitor, CDR lock indicator, input signal detection, and programmable pins for hardware interrupts, supporting system diagnostics and board initialization.
